$750,000 – Our 61-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on the through street of Harmony Road in Riley Township, Illinois.

Settled. Our 61-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on the through street of Harmony Road in Riley Township, Illinois. The other driver, sitting at the stop sign on Genoa Road, pulled onto Harmony directly in front of our client. Our client avoided hitting the other driver broadside, but did clip the left rear of the car, apparently with his left foot and his motorcycle. This caused him to begin losing control, but since he was an experienced rider, he was able to maintain the motorcycle upright until it could be more safely laid down in the ditch rather than on the blacktop. This action probably saved his life. His right leg was fractured in two places, the distal one essentially at the ankle. He also suffered fractures of his left foot and a full tear in his right rotator-cuff and bicep. All of these injuries required surgeries. Country Financial.
