$66,000 – My client was a passenger in a car traveling south on Poplar Grove Road as it approached its intersection with North Boone School Road in Poplar Grove, Illinois.

Settled. My client was a passenger in a car traveling south on Poplar Grove Road as it approached its intersection with North Boone School Road in Poplar Grove, Illinois. Another driver was traveling east on North Boone School Road. and failing to stop at his stop sign, proceeded directly into the intersection just as my client’s vehicle also reached it and they collided, causing a massive crash. Both cars were totaled and towed from the scene, and all parties were taken by ambulance, with one of the drivers being helicoptered to the nearest hospital. My client was trapped in the rear seat of the vehicle and had to be cut out of the car by the fire department before being taken to the ambulance. My client sustained injuries to his neck, back and shoulder, his right knee, multiple fractures to his left ribs, an abrasion to the right side of his face, near the eye, and he suffered double-vision which was probably secondary to the swelling that he had in his face due to the trauma of the crash. Settled with State Farm in the amount of $21,000 and settled his own underinsured policy with Erie Insurance in the amount of $45,000.
