$62,500 – 24 year old female teacher sprains shoulder and injures knee when defendant turns left in front of her.

Settlement.  An uninsured motorist improperly turned left in front of a 24-year-old woman’s vehicle at a Rockford intersection. Plaintiff (a teacher) claims collision caused a sprained shoulder and dashboard knee which may require surgery ($2,756 past and $10,000 estimated future medical expense). However, she made no complaints of knee pain for 9 months post-accident. The case settled with Farmers Insurance prior to trial.
