Crystal – Receptionist
Crystal started working with the firm in 2006 and has been working in the legal field since 2005. She works to keep clients updated on the status of their case and confirm all appointments. By allowing clients to vent their concerns on various difficult situations resulting from being a party in a personal injury claim, Crystal guides them in finding the best answers and directing them to the person that most appropriately suits their needs.
Renee - Legal Assistant / Pre-Litigation Department
Renee started working with Kim and Phil in May 2008 and enjoys being a part of helping people get the fair compensation they deserve. Once a client has been released from doctor’s care, she then begins to obtain all documentation and medical records, along with corresponding billing and policy information for both plaintiff and defendant insurance companies as quickly as possible.
Courtney – Legal Assistant / Pre-Litigation Department
Courtney received her Administrative Assistant Certificate and joined Kim and Phil’s legal team in 2008. She initiates contact with insurance companies and gathers information to allow accurate and effective representation for each client’s individual case. Courtney helps clients fulfill their needs to ensure satisfaction despite the situation they have been put in due to the negligence of another individual. She works to make sure the client doesn’t feel overwhelmed and know that we are here to help in any way possible.
Melissa – Legal Assistant / Pre-Litigation Department
Melissa started working for MacCloskeyKesler in 2010 and received her Masters Degree from NIU as well as her ABA recognized Paralegal Certificate from Northwestern in 2010. She follows up with clients to check on the status of their medical treatment, disburses medical payment checks to providers, transcribes and sends out correspondence packages and confirms provider bill balances while settlements are pending. Melissa strives to look at each situation differently in order to best address the client’s individual needs.
Gina – Legal Assistant / Pre-Litigation Department Manager / Office Manager
Gina started working with the firm in January 2000 and earned her Paralegal Degree and Bachelors Degree in Business and Organizational Management. She manages the pre-litigation department, oversees the office and ensures it operates smoothly so each client’s file is handled with the quality and professionalism it deserves. Gina works to help people with their injury claims to ensure a positive outcome and to assist them in resolving any issues.
Esmeralda – Legal Assistant / Litigation Department
Esmeralda received her Paralegal Degree and started working for the firm in 2005. She interprets for Spanish speaking clients and works with the attorneys on litigation files. For clients who have Medicare, she works with the Medicare Secondary Payment Recovery Center to obtain repayment information. She knows many times people feel that no one really hears them and she strives to listen to the issues they have.
Corkie – Legal Assistant / Litigation Department
Corkie has been working with Kim MacCloskey since August, 1998. In addition to day-to-day secretarial management of litigating files, she makes sure the attorney has the necessary information to bring about a successful conclusion of suit. Corkie loves being on the team that helps the little guy go up against the big insurance company to get that which he is entitled.
Gail – Legal Assistant/ Litigation Department
Gail has been working in the legal profession since 1978 and started working with Kim and Phil in November 2002. She assists attorneys with preparing court documents, contact with clients, judges, medical providers and tracks time sensitive matters. Gail helps clients receive a fair settlement from insurance companies as quickly as possible so that they can move on with their lives.
