Medical malpractice
Medical malpractice is negligence committed by a professional health care provider - a doctor, nurse, dentist, technician hospital, or hospital worker - whose performance of duties departs from the standard of practice of those with similar training and experience, resulting in harm to a patient or patients. Doctors and other healthcare providers must follow certain standards when caring for patients. While a simple mistake is not enough to constitute negligence, a death or serious injury caused by the failure to provide reasonably appropriate or common standards of care or the failure to diagnose an easily detectable illness may be malpractice. We are very selective in the cases we accept, but we aggressively investigate and pursue claims for catastrophic injuries and death that result from medical malpractice.
